AC Milan, the "Rossoneri", was founded in Milan in northern Italy in 1899. The club was founded as a football and cricket association by Britons Alfred Edwards and Herbert Kilpin. It is also thanks to its British background that the club is called AC Milan, Milan being the English name for Milano.

San Siro is one of the most powerful football arena in the world.
