What can I expect?
Step into a world of wonder as Cats returns to London for a strictly limited summer season at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre.
On one magical night each year, beneath the glowing moon, the Jellicle cats gather for the Jellicle Ball. Among them are dreamers, rebels, and storytellers—each hoping to be chosen for a new life on the mystical Heaviside Layer. As their stories unfold, audiences are taken on an emotional journey filled with hope, identity, and transformation.
Based on Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats by T. S. Eliot and brought to life by Andrew Lloyd Webber, Cats is one of the most celebrated musicals of all time. Its legendary score includes beloved songs such as “Memory”, “Macavity”, and “Jellicle Ball”.
With breathtaking choreography, imaginative staging, and a spellbinding outdoor setting, this production offers a truly unique theatrical experience. Watching Cats beneath the open sky adds an extra layer of magic—making it a must-see event for both first-time visitors and long-time fans.
Since its premiere in 1981, Cats has captivated millions worldwide, winning Olivier and Tony Awards and becoming one of the longest-running shows in theatre history.
